Coastal Real Estate September 2017 Newsletter

Hello and welcome to the September edition of the Coastal Real Estate newsletter.  In case you haven’t heard, we are happy to report that the Sukhumvit Road/Pattaya Klang intersection tunnel has finally opened. After several delays, the tunnel opened for public use on August 25th.

The 1,900-meter long tunnel has four lanes with each being 3.5 meters wide.  There is a traffic island separating the lanes, with interior decorations and an ornamental dolphin installed as another landmark for the city.  The security and safety system is fully packed, with air vents along the tunnel walls and cameras installed in case of any accidents.

Hopefully this will relieve some of the congestion at the intersection making the drive around town easier.

Phitsanulok Traditional Long Boat Races are held on the Nan River, in front of Wat Phra Si Rattana Mahathat Woramahawihan. They are held every September along with various religious rites such as robe-offering ceremony, changing the robe of the famous Buddha image Phra Phutthachinnarat, boat decoration contest, and traditional boat races.

Quiksilver Thailand Surf Competition                               September 1st -30th

Held on Patong Beach in Phuket the Quicksilver Thailand Surf Competition is a competition between surfing athletes from all over the world.

Oyster Eating, Bird Watching and Squid Angling           September 1st – 30th

Venue: Scenic point at Cha-Am Beach, Thung Thakat Plee and Khao Nang Panthurat Forest Park

The festival features booths selling seafood, bird watching and squid fishing activity at night. Enjoy the boat racing and cultural performance with music shows every night.
